Follow this diet exactly (no more no less) and you will see results in 3 days!
You can lose up to 10 pounds in just 3 days. Here is the diet:

^^ "Like" on Facebook for updates, tips & tricks

DAY 1:
Breakfast--1/2 Grapefruit, 1 Slice of Toast, 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter, and Coffee or Tea

Lunch
--1/2 Cup of Tuna, 1 Slice of Toast, and Coffee or Tea (any brew, as long as it's caffeinated)

Dinner
--3 ounces of any type of meat, 1 Cup of Green Beans, 1/2 Banana, 1 Small Apple, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

DAY 2:
Breakfast--1 egg, 1 Slice of Toast, and 1/2 Banana
Lunch--1 Cup of Cottage Cheese (Or 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese), 1 Hard Boiled Egg, and 5 Saltine Crackers
Dinner--2 Hot Dogs, (no buns), 1 Cup of Broccoli, 1/2 Cup of Carrots, 1/2 Banana, and 1/2 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream
DAY 3:
Breakfast--5 Saltine Crackers, 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese, and 1 Small Apple
Lunch-1 Hard-Boiled Egg, and 1 Slice of Toast
Dinner--1 Cup of Tuna, 1/2 of a Banana, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

Now, there are some substitutions that have been tested and will also work. (For example, I do not eat hot dogs, and one substitution I found was 1/2 cup of beans or lentils for each hot dog)The whole point of this diet is based on a chemical reaction that is why you have to stick to it! This is based off the research I have done online. There are substitutions listed here. ( I have also listed the substitutions at the end of this post*)
You can only do this diet for 3 days at a time, then eat normally for 4 days and you can start again!
I have been going to the gym and fitness classes as well, so if I hadn't been putting on muscle it would probably be more! All I know is that it works, and I still haven't put any of it back on.
Some things I did with this:
DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF UNTIL THE MORNING OF THE 4TH DAY.
When it says an egg, you are able to eat it any way. I made some hard-boiled eggs beforehand and just did one of those each time with a little bit of salt.
I have never been a fan of grapefruit, but again, it's well worth it. To make it easier to eat I just cut it in half, and then into triangles from there and did the best I could.
Dinner on day two requires broccoli and the black beans that I substituted for the hotdogs. I just cooked them up together in a pan with no oil or anything, added a little bit of salt and it wasn't bad!
Another thing that was delicious was a tip I got from another user online too. When eating your icecream, heat up the banana/apple cut it up and add it to the icecream, SO GOOD.

Again, for more information, substitutions and tips see this website

    1. Other than the coffee/tea listed on the first day just water, and lots of it! This will help you clean out your system and help this diet work properly. I believe the recommended daily amount is half of your body weight in ounces. So if you are 200 pounds, drink at least 100 ounces of water everyday...not just for the diet but always :)

Finished with day two of my current round, can't wait to share my results.

    1. Good time to focus on your upper body and abs just like you said! You want to make sure to let your ankle heal fully otherwise it will become weak and you could sprain it again. This would be a great time to try this diet so you can lose weight while not being as active.

  7. I am on week 3 round 3 of this Military Diet. The first week I lost 4lbs, the second week I lost 2lbs, and I'm on day 2 of round 3 and I already lost 2lbs.

I want to mention that I am also a PCOS fighter and this diet is actually working for me! Instead of ice cream I do 1 cup of pure almond milk for 1 cup of ice cream and on day 2 you only drink 1/2 cup of pure almond milk. As anyone who has PCOS knows, you should limit the sugar, and this is a better alternative to ice cream for us!

    3. No problem. I didn't come up with this diet plan, so I don't have much advice from you other than to see what happens. I believe for best results you should just follow what it says and drink a LOT of water between meals to stay full. It's only 3 days!

  24. I'm very eager to try this Military Diet! However, my biggest concern is how hungry I'm going to be each day because it doesn't sound like there is a whole lot of food that I will be consuming in those three days. How do I prevent my hunger so I don't cause myself to binge eat on one of the days?

    1. Something I like to do is search "motivation" on Pinterest and save some of those quotes and pictures to my phone as a quick daily reminder.

The first time I did it I was STARVING on the 3rd day, so after dinner I just forced myself to go to sleep very early so I wouldn't risk ruining it after getting so close, and woke up a happy camper.

I'm not a big tofu fan but you could use that in place of the meat too according to the substitutions listed above. Also, make sure your taking your vitamins and supplements since you won't be eating what you need to be to get all the nutrients you need.

    1. Ahh exciting please be sure to let us know how your results turn out! Day 3 is usually the only day I am super hungry...but after seeing my own results the next few times weren't as bad because I knew the end point was worth it. I think eating the whole meal within an hour or two should be fine, and spread them out by at least 3 hours.

Did you normally drink a decent amount of water? If you don't want to post, please email me your results can't wait to hear.

    2. I normally hardly drink anything let alone water. So I imagine I was staying pretty dehydrated. With dinner tonight, I had to force myself to eat all the food. I prayed and ask people to pray for me while doing these 3 days, so that I wouldn't be hungry and that I would have the will power to do it and I think that has helped a lot. I will keep you posted on my day 3 and results on day 4. I only drank a gallon of water today also, I don't want to get sick by drinking to much.

    3. YES< weighed in this morning and it was exactly 10 pounds to the ounce. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. Okay yesterday started out rough, I was so hungry after breakfast and after lunch but then I got busy with yard work and worked up quiet a sweat and when it came to dinner I wasn't hungry, I had to force myself to eat. I thought about not eating at all because it got really late. I had to laugh because when it came time to eat the ice cream I said "oh crap, now I got to eat ice cream" something that I thought would never come out of my mouth. Can't wait to start again next week. Thank you so much for putting this on Pinterest otherwise I would still be feeling hopeless.

      Delete
    4. AWESOME!!!! I'm so happy for you. I had the same feeling the first time I did it like FINALLY SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY WORKED! It's funny too how you had that thought about icecream, in just 3 short days this diet allows your habits to reform so much. Try to set a goal to walk a minimum of one mile each day next week when you do it again. When I did it 3 weeks in a row, I still lost weight but the amount got smaller each week. So next time I do 3 rounds again I am going to increase my cardio and workouts each week to try to stabalize them. I'm so happy for you :)

      Delete
    5. So did you eat each meal all at once or spread it out a bit?

      Delete
    6. I spread it out I couldn't eat it all at once. Today I haven't been hungry and am not wanting to eat the same stuff I was before my first round. I am still drinking my water. Been peeing a lot but kinda expect that. Need to eat lunch but not sure on what to fix just yet. Expecting to lose more by Monday. We will see. I do need to get into a walking routine.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I'm not sure, maybe try researching it a little bit. You want the same chemical breakdown, and i'm not sure if you could do that with a nut allergy. I would try doing the diet, and maybe just skipping the peanut butter and see what happens with your weight. Keep me posted!

    2. Nothing specific. I eat similar to how I normally would, just smaller portions as I get full much quicker after the diet.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I like to microwave my banana and eat it over my ice cream !! A craving doesn't last longer than 15 minutes, so next time just drink a big glass of water and wait it out

  44. I just started this yesterday and I am feeling great! I havent felt hungry at all, plus I drank more water than recomended which makes me really happy. :) Many people think that I'm to young to "diet", but I have always been overweight so I'm really hoping that this works. Can't wait to see the results! :D

But ever since i went of to college and started birth control I've gained about 15-20 ponds so im really excited to see if this really works. The only problem is that i dont have something to weigh myself with so im just going to have to notice by myself. lol

My BMI says I'm overweight even though I don't really like like I am :( I'm trying to get down to like 170 lb before the summer ends. excited to see how this turns out for me!

    2. It didn't work for me :( I didn't lose any weight. I drank enough water and exercised, too. My only substitutions were black beans for hot dogs and a bell pepper for the carrots. Maybe I didn't space it out enough?

    3. Did you let everything...pass through you...before you weighed yourself on day 4?

    1. Keep drinking all that water and try to be active for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Active as is working up a sweat :)

  48. After my first round I lost 10 pounds, when I weighed at the start of my second round I had gained 4 pounds back, I am blaming this on lady issues, which mine can last up to three weeks. We will see how round two goes. I drank my water on my four days off and didn't eat near as much, so not sure what happened other than the one issue. Is that normal, but then again I am not normal

  49. I did this exactly the way I was supposed to and didn't lose any weight! I drank water and exercised and didn't add anything. I lose more weight by just counting calories and have been much happier with caffeine in me.

    1. Hmm. What was your calorie intake prior to this diet? This is very odd. In the research I have done for the two others who did not lose weight I found that if you are eating less than 1200 calories a day your body is already used to this "starvation mode" and therefore won't be burning fat but in fact muscle. That's why it is important to eat small meals throughout the day.

I'm not a very big person but hoping to shed some weight. I would love to loose 10 pounds but I really don't see my body cooperating. I'm 5'5" and 140lbs so I'm not considered over weight. It might take me a few rounds if I can make it through this one.

    1. There are numerous gluten-free cracker recipes online, just so some searches on google. I have also seen gluten free crackers in grocery stores such as Cub Foods and Whole Foods. The weight loss may not be as severe considering it's a chemical reaction, but maybe it will be just fine! Let me know how it goes.

    1. Well see where you are at after the first 3 days, it's not easy by any means. I don't know anybody who started again on day 4 but based off the research I've done online that's a bad idea! Your body needs more calories and nutrients and it kick starts your metabolism for a normal diet, not to be repeated that quickly

    1. I believe you can do it once a week. You HAVE to take at least 4 days off. Your body may adjust to the limited calories at some point. My best guess is every other week or once a month to drop a significant amount of weight. Good luck.

  79. Military diet??? Really?? It's has been a well known cardiac diet used as is no subs to lose the full ten pounds for over 15 yrs.... It's ain't new and you aren't suppose to sub! It's a combination to reduce your excess water and your sugar cravings. You can safely do this once a month, it's not a diet as much as it is like a cleanse/detox of sugar. It works if you use it as is for the full ten, substitutions generally result in less than ten loss, but the bonus of a shrunken stomach and sugar cravings gone. Good luck !!
